Default Ningi Creek Fishing Report No 11

Hi Everyone, last report before I am up to date, attached pics from a couple of trips late October, first one is of my Grandson with his second ever Jew, caught his first one 10 minutes before landing the fish in the pic, unfortunately both well under size and both returned to water to grow some more, every thing we caught on the day was unders so no fresh fish for tea that night, second pic is of a trip I did on my own when I caught plenty of grunter but only 4 were legal, fish in pics ranged from 33cm to 37cm and tasted good in egg & breadcrumbs, all fish on both trips caught on prawns.

Planning a trip up Elimbah this weekend to fish the neap tides for whiting, till next report hope you all catch some.

    Ron

    Morning Tony
During the neap tides you won't have any worries getting into Elimbah at low tide, I will slip up to the first green beacon upstream of the little boat ramp, and drift with the run in tide past the house and up to the slipway, I will keep doing that for a while, if i have no luck with that, I will anchor up on the rock wall corner upstream of the slipway and try my luck there, if all else fails I will run back down the creek hour before high tide and drift across the weed banks at the mouth of the creek, if I draw a blank there I will go home wash the boat and have a few beers.

I find yabbies work best up the creek and worms best at the mouth on the weed banks.

    Hope you catch a few

    Ron
