    Default Hussey whiting boxing day

I hit Hussey Creek again today chasing whiting. Launched at Roys at 6am and headed straight to hussey for the last 2 hours of run out for some popper work, only 3 half hearted swipes at the popper with no connection.
Dug some mud worms and waited for the turn of the tide before feeding them out.
Ended up with 22 whiting from 28cm to 41cm, the majority larger than 33cm.
Oddly all the tings were on top of the sand banks today, nothing up the creek where I get the bigger ones usually. Side catch of catties and grunter away from the sand banks.
Total of about 4 hours fishing bait.

Oddly enough there wasn't anyone else in the creek chasing tings.
About 8 boats roared past full noise each way, one within 5 metres of me.
One boat snuck past respectfully he got a wave.
I presume the rest went after jacks returning back within about 3 hours each.

Oddly enough there were lots of mullet 4 to 8 inches in the creek, never see that during jack season normally.

    Bloody good result Tony
