I've enjoyed them in the NT.
We did have one on the last trip that wasn't at the level of the others I've had but it was still OK.

They have been good eating but I have only eaten them fresh.
Now, I'm not saying we should invoke capital punishment for Stupidity, but how about we just take all the warning labels off everything and let nature sort itself out?
As a side note, threadies do not recover well after prolonged fights, so up the line to about 15-20lb and get them to the boat fairly quickly for best chances of release.
Thanks gents.
I must be a fussy bugger too used to flatties etc.
I ate mine fresh but can't say I enjoyed it all that much. The next thready dumb enuff to end up on my line will be set free.
Cheers

Only ever caught 1 Thready & rate them higher than Barra, will never throw them back.

It must have been really sick and jumped on my line just to end it all.
Maybe he was right for once and I got a 'bad' one. Haha
I hit Bris riv this afternoon and evening looking for threadies or jew....found a few small schools but couldn't tempt anything but a decent flathead.
Couple from the last two outings
