Hi all
You never know what will happen next while lure fishing.
Check out this crazy whiting which nailed a barra minnow.
Not sure if you was trying to eat it or mate with it.
Cheers

haha, what a cheeky little bugger goin' for that lure......
Bream chasing addict of tackle and all things fishy...
the lure is almost as big as him
Greedy little bar steward! For a fish that can sometimes be very lure shy (or even shy of everything) that pic is a statement and a half.
Maybe the "match the hatch" approach on fly isn't the direction the fluffchuckers should be heading in.... I see slim mini poppers and little baitfish imitations coming on.
Ultralight RULES!!
Wow, seen plenty of Bream, flathead, bass etc. Eating lures almost the same size as themselves. But never whiting! Thanks for the post, real interesting how agressive they can be!
They sure are, I got this little whiting on a 7gram Maniac slice!!!!
Mind you I did let it hit the bottom.
I wonder wether the little buggers are more atrackted to the shiny hooks on the bigger lures..?????
I need less fishing gear and more fish....
