If I was honest about how long it took me to land my first fish on a lure I might just end up putting you off for good.

My only suggestion is keep at it and don't give up. That first hookup you get will be something you remember for a long time.

Too true Chamelion, it was the same for me. After getting my first fish on lure it was all on for me then, addiction to plastic. Hardly ever use bait now.

It took me more than six months of afternoon and weekend trips to snag my first fish on a lure. That was chasing Bass in the Burnett River. Boy was I excited when I landed that first fish!! Keep at it and it will come together one day, it'll all be worth it then.

I plan on doing fairly regular trips to those dams soon, I do love those impoundment Barra. I'm no expert though, have heaps to learn, but your most welcome to come on a few trips if you're interested.

Hey Dave, things have changed abit since when this was posted heh.

Snagged afew Barra and Lizards, nothing to really write home about though.

Going to check out a 12' tinny on Sunday so hopefully will spend abit more time out on the Dam's myself
