Hey all...
Headed up to Lake Macquarie - NSW to spend a few days with the old man.
The aim was to get the big fella onto a Yellowfin Bream on a hardbody lure, as he'd caught a few on plastics before. We were also hoping for a big lizard or two.
Apart from a few tiddlers, I could barely land myself a bream and found them very very spooky. At one stage I said to Dad - "here just have a cast with mine for a bit while I re-tie your leader"..... BANG, yep he's on! After a nice little tussle a 34cm to fork Bream greets us. Dad was stoked!
Managed to find a few dusky flatties, but the best came in at around 55cm so nothing huge. One day, we will find the magic metre up there!
Cheers,
Beevor
