With finally having a break in the week from school work and sport, Cam and myself decided we would venture to go fish a farelly productive spot for us, to have some fun, before having to doing school work and going to sport the next few days. We dicided to throw a net to get some livies, after collecting some nice bonies and bitties we headed to our first spot, fished it for a about 20min, for nothing, was dead. So decided to move, got to next spot and there was some action around, with some bait flickering and some boofs here and there. put the livies out and well waited and waited and waited... there was action all around but nothing was touching our baits. Then it just fired, i landed my personal best freshy tarpon at 49cm and then next cast got a nice 77cm GH. Both of us having a few runs but missed em. Just as it started to get a little dark, i pointed to a spot where i lost a good 50-60cm jack a few days earlier and Cam castered right there, with in 5 min he was on, it was running hard, but wasnt jumping so couldnt be a GH or tarpon, in the back of my mind was "Jack", but didnt want to make him more nervous, he got it to the edge and we saw red, we were both jumping for joy, it was a lovely 52cm specimen. It was his first fish from the spot and his first jack, congrats man!!!
